Kia teased us with not one, not two, but three utes in a video released to its YouTube channel. At least one will be their upcoming diesel Tasman and one must be their EV9-based electric offering – so what is the third? Could it be a Hybrid? Could it be the full-sized (think Ford F150, Ram 1500) American-style pickups? Could it be one of the much-hyped Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) modular utility vehicles? We don’t know!
While details remain scarce, the move signals Kia’s strategic commitment to the utility segment. The various utes, poised to cater to “North American” and “global” markets, represent a significant step in Kia’s bid to capture the burgeoning demand for fleet and commercial markets.
