Nissan now offers Australia’s longest 10-year warranty with Next-Gen Navara to arrive in 2026

Nissan has made a bold move in the competitive Australian ute market by introducing an industry-leading 10-year, 300,000km warranty for its popular Navara. This milestone makes the Navara the ute with the longest warranty currently available in Australia, setting a new standard for peace of mind and durability in the segment.

In addition to the extended warranty, Nissan is offering an impressive 10 years of 24/7 roadside assistance, providing Navara owners with comprehensive support no matter where their adventures take them. This combination of long-term warranty coverage and round-the-clock assistance highlights Nissan’s confidence in the Navara’s build quality and reliability.

How the warranty works

For the first five years of owning a new Navara, buyers receive a 5-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and 1-year of unlimited kilometre roadside assistance as standard. Additionally, Nissan Flat Price Service applies to all vehicles first registered from 1 January 2025. This ensures:

  • Transparent service costs: The exact price for each of the first five scheduled services is clearly outlined, eliminating surprises.
  • Expert maintenance: Factory-trained technicians using dedicated diagnostic equipment and Genuine Nissan Parts help maintain the Navara’s top condition.

After the initial five years, owners who have consistently serviced their vehicle within the Nissan Authorised Dealer Network can extend both the warranty and roadside assistance annually. For every scheduled service completed:

  • 1 additional year of warranty coverage is added.
  • 1 additional year of 24/7 roadside assistance is provided.

This Service Activated Warranty can be extended up to a maximum of 10 years or 300,000km, offering unparalleled peace of mind. To qualify, all logbook services must be completed on schedule within the dealer network.

What this means for ute buyers

The Navara’s new warranty far exceeds the industry norm, where most competitors offer warranties ranging from five to seven years. This extended coverage not only reduces the cost of ownership over time but also enhances resale value, as subsequent owners can benefit from the remaining warranty period.

The inclusion of 10 years of roadside assistance is equally significant, ensuring that drivers have access to help in case of breakdowns, flat tyres, or other unexpected issues. This feature adds another layer of reassurance for those who rely on their ute for work, travel, or off-road adventures.

Next-generation Nissan Navara coming in 2026

Adding to the excitement, Nissan has confirmed that a next-generation Navara will arrive in Australia in 2026. This new model will initially launch with diesel power but will follow a two-step electrification strategy. First, Nissan will introduce a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version, and later, a fully electric (EV) model will be available.

The Navara PHEV is expected to share technology with the Mitsubishi Triton, likely featuring a petrol engine paired with dual electric motors. This setup could be similar to the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, which uses a 2.4-litre petrol engine and a 20kWh battery for an 84km electric range. However, the Navara may receive a larger battery, possibly up to 35kWh, to meet the higher energy demands of a ute.

Further down the line, Nissan is exploring solid-state battery technologies, which could significantly enhance the performance and range of the electric Navara.

How does it compare to other utes in Australia?

  • Toyota HiLux: 5-year, unlimited km warranty with capped-price servicing and roadside assistance.
  • Ford Ranger: 5-year, unlimited km warranty with 24/7 roadside assistance included for the same period.
  • Isuzu D-MAX: 6-year, 150,000km warranty with up to 7 years of roadside assistance if serviced through Isuzu dealers.
  • Mitsubishi Triton: 10-year, 200,000km warranty, but only if serviced at Mitsubishi dealerships; otherwise, it’s reduced to 5 years/100,000km. Roadside assistance is included for up to 4 years.
  • Mazda BT-50: 5-year, unlimited km warranty with 5 years of roadside assistance.
  • SsangYong Musso: 7-year, unlimited km warranty with 7 years of roadside assistance.
  • Upcoming Kia Tasman: While official warranty details are yet to be confirmed, Kia is known for its industry-leading 7-year, unlimited km warranty, and is expected to offer competitive roadside assistance coverage.

Nissan’s comprehensive warranty and service offering set a new benchmark in the Australian ute market, combining long-term coverage with flexible service-based extensions to meet the diverse needs of ute owners.
