Big Tech Upgrades for the 2023 Hyundai Venue

Hyundai has revamped its smallest SUV, the 2023 Venue, with a range of upgrades aimed at enhancing connectivity and safety for customers. Among the changes are a small digital information display in the driver’s instrument panel, a wireless device charging pad, and a new USB-C fast charging point in the front row for all variants. The range-topping Elite grade has an additional two USB-C charging ports for the rear seats.

In terms of safety, the 2023 Venue has been outfitted with a rear seat occupant alert, steering wheel mounted buttons for easier control of the vehicle’s functions, and an anti-dazzle rear-view mirror for the Elite grade. Additionally, the Elite grade comes with Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car services, which allow owners to remotely lock/unlock their vehicle, start the air conditioner or window defroster via an app, and even find their car in a parking lot by flashing the lights or sounding the horn remotely.

The updates come with a small price increase, with the cheapest Venue’s price rising by AUD 160, and the top-shelf Elite going up by AUD 960. Despite this, the Hyundai Venue remains one of the most affordable little SUVs on sale in Australia. The brand has also dropped the manual-transmission option from the mid-tier Active grade, but buyers can still find a three-pedal option in the cheapest Venue variant.
